Project Spotlight: Hyundai Construction Equipment at PlantWorkz 2025

In September 2025, Brooklands was invited by Hyundai Construction Equipment—an international manufacturer of excavators, wheel loaders, and articulated dump trucks—to clean their machinery on display at the PlantWorkz 2025 exhibition.

Scope of Work

The Hyundai exhibition showcased a range of state-of-the-art, sustainable machinery. With both new and existing customers attending, the equipment needed to look pristine.

During transportation, dirt and debris had accumulated and needed to be removed before show day.

Brooklands was tasked with cleaning both the interior and exterior of the machinery, signage, and ensuring there was no debris on the surrounding ground.

We worked to a tight deadline with a narrow window for cleaning—ensuring the equipment wasn’t cleaned too early, risking fresh debris before the event.
Our team was onsite for one day, arriving at the precise time to meet Hyundai’s requirements.

Methodology

• Initial Assessment: Images and details of the machinery were sent to our team in advance, allowing us to plan the clean and schedule. On arrival, we reviewed the equipment together to confirm the desired outcome and scope of work.
• Gentle Jet Washing: Low-pressure water systems were used to lift surface grime without damaging finishes.
• Detail Cleaning: Vacuuming the inside and using cloths to polish and detail both interior and exterior surfaces, including glass.
• Chemical-Free Cleaning: Where possible, eco-friendly methods were prioritised to align with Hyundai’s sustainability goals.
• Lomg Reach Poles: Safely access all surfaces of the machinery from ground level and without ht eneed of access equipment that will mess up the surroudn grass.

Machinery Cleaning Challenges and Solutions

The main challenge for this project was the time constraints, with only one window to clean the machinery before show day, timing was critical.  We had a team ready to carry out the clean as soon as we got the call that the machinery was in place.

It was essential that the surrounding ground and signage remained neat and in tact. As this was grass we used ensures there was minimal water run off and we finished by cleaning and polishing the signage.

Weather dependency was critical! Fortunately, the weather was ideal—sunny and dry—ensuring optimal drying and finish.

Results

Brooklands was proud to contribute to this high profile project. Seeing the Hyundai exhibition stand looking pristine before visitors arrived was incredibly rewarding. Our cleaning provided the finishing touches that helped the display shine.
