High-Level Cleaning

Brooklands Group was appointed by Universal Group to deliver specialist and high-level internal cleaning services at The Dome leisure centre in Doncaster, as part of a major refurbishment of the lagoon area. The 12-month upgrade is scheduled for completion by October 2025.

Michael Hart, Chief Executive of Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust, commented:

Brooklands was proud to contribute to this transformative project. Cleaning commenced in June 2025 and was completed over several days by our on-site team. At Doncaster Dome, our scope of work included:

– High-level vacuuming and dust removal from pipework, ventilation shafts, and ceiling structures
– Window frame cleaning
– Degreasing and cleaning of steel beams and surfaces
– Deep cleaning of flooring throughout the area

Internal high-level cleaning is a specialist process designed for hard-to-reach, elevated areas inside buildings — including ceilings, light fittings, ducting, and structural beams. Brooklands was appointed because of it experience and expertise in this areas.

Due to the building’s height, specialist equipment such as telescopic poles, high-reach vacuums and a powered access platforms cherry picker was deployed to access elevated surfaces safely. With the leisure centre closed during works, our team operated in a secure, disruption-free environment — ensuring full access and optimal safety for both operatives and equipment.

The project was delivered on schedule, supporting smooth progress for the wider refurbishment. The client was extremely pleased with the outcome to maintain a safe, hygienic environment at the leisure centre.
