Warehouse Cleaning and Refurbishment Services for DHL Distribution Centre

In November 2024, we undertook a warehouse refurbishment and cleaning project at a DHL warehouse and distribution centre in the UK that had been temporarily decommissioned. With unrestricted access to the site, our team transformed the facility inside and out over several intensive weeks, preparing it for renewed operational use.

This project required strategic planning, specialist equipment, and a coordinated team of skilled professionals. From high‑level cleaning to precision painting, we revitalised every functional area to meet DHL’s high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.

Project Scope

We carried out a comprehensive deep clean of the entire exterior structure, removing accumulated grime, organic build‑up, and airborne pollutants from the cladding to restore the façade and perimeter to a pristine condition.

The distribution centre’s car park underwent a full transformation, including pressure washing, debris removal, surface detailing, and visual enhancement—ensuring it aligned with commercial‑grade standards for staff and vehicle access.

Our specialist team tackled internal cleaning across vast floor spaces, mezzanine levels, and overhead structures using specialist access equipment. This included degreasing, dust removal, and sanitation of surfaces inaccessible via conventional methods.  This was critical for DHL’s logistic operations where hygiene and safety are paramount to their service.

We meticulously repainted multiple structural and functional elements to improve durability and visual appeal, including:
– Loading bays
– Internal and external staircases
– Gates and perimeter fencing
– Bollards and protective safety barriers
– All main entrance doors to the facility

Selective areas within the warehouse interior were refurbished and detailed to improve operational readiness supporting DHL’s future reoccupation, logistics flow, and asset value.

Outcome

The DHL warehouse and distribution centre underwent a striking visual and functional transformation, with enhanced safety, hygiene, and asset presentation. The site was delivered in a revitalised, market‑ready condition—fully compliant and ready to support DHL’s logistics operations without disruption.
