Climbing Snowdon: A Day Out of the Office That Made All the Difference

At Brooklands Group, we’ve always believed that great work doesn’t just happen at a desk. Sometimes, the best ideas (and the strongest teams) are built when you step outside the office and into something a little more adventurous.

Our recent team day climbing Snowdon was the perfect example.

A Perfect Day on the Mountain

We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Clear skies, fresh air, and the kind of views that make every step worthwhile. The team absolutely smashed the climb, and the sense of achievement at the summit was something special.

But the day wasn’t just about reaching the top. It was about stepping away from screens, emails, and meeting rooms to reconnect as people, not just colleagues.

Conversations That Count

There’s something powerful about talking through ideas, challenges, and future plans while walking a mountain trail. The conversations flowed, and without the usual office distractions, we found ourselves discussing work in a more open, creative, and productive way.

It’s amazing how a change of scenery can shift perspectives and spark new thinking.

A Team Experience to Remember

Most importantly, everyone genuinely enjoyed the day. It was a chance to reset, recharge, and remind us that teamwork isn’t just built through projects, it’s built through shared experiences.

And while we joked about doing it all again next week… maybe we’ll give our legs a little longer to recover first.
